Sara on your Amazon story, a few years ago Amazon were shipping me (to Australia) about $150 worth of books that never arrived, FedEx said they were signed for but the books never turned up at my office. After I spoke with them they just shipped another set out, no questions asked. To me Amazon customer service rocks!
